Created in 31st July 2023. London, United Kingdom. “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.” 1 Cor. 9:24. (NIV) “. . .let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,” Heb. 12:1 Every participant needs to have endurance, perseverance, stamina, and tenacity to win the race and or to reach the finish line. In the cycling race, there are levels of ground to cover, and there are hills and valleys to manoeuvre the same is true metaphorical in race life. Humans have different levels of challenges to overcome in the race of life. Many often struggle with achievement and relationships and often give up without resilience. I am using this painting to illustrate the verses of the Bible above to admonish and encourage people to run the race of their lives with perseverance. Roses depict successes and smooth rides while thorns depict life challenges and falling off the bicycles. As in life setbacks, when cyclists fall off their bicycles, often lift themselves and get back on the bicycles to get opportunities of winning the races.
