WHAT IT FELT LIKE
Created 2019-presentAudrey Gillespie's media include analogue photography, physical and digital collage, printmaking and other experimental media including paint and embroidery. Gillespie's approach to photography involves minimal to no editing, creating authentic colour and in-camera double exposures to evoke a hazy dreamscape. Her collage and other experimental medium rely on heavy conception, channeling an inner monologue regarding identity, existentialism and sexuality. Her works are formed in flustered bursts of creativity, exposing vicious thoughts, placing them in reality outside of the mind through cameras, canvas and paint.
